Makes sense?

With each new day comes a chance to restart, reboot and move forward. Comes a chance to right our wrongs, make new mistakes and learn from them because a series of rights and wrongs are what constitute life.

Another day closer to death, perfect opportunity if not a reminder to live your best life, how you please. To see life from various perspectives, to be flexible and not rigid while on this course – for there’s a great  feeling that comes with it, a win I like to think.

Sometimes that which breaks us ends up making us. I think the worst of times quietly prepare us for the best, that a majority of the time, is always awaiting us on the other side after healing. A new day to choose to look past all that’s happened for it has no space, no right to be in your present. A new day to choose yourself.

Often than not, we all choose to kill our souls with things that we cannot change, things that we have no control over. Instead, today, take it God if you haven’t and leave it to Him to do His will. While at it, rest your heart knowing that all things will work out for your good, at it’s own best time.

An opportunity to center your life on gratitude and peace. To immerse yourself in gratitude for all that you have even when whilst what you’re working for /towards is not seeing light. All the same, make room in your mind and train it inner – peace, an undefeated characteristic this one is. Get into a routine of taking care of yourself and putting you first.

Frankly speaking, one of my resolutions this year was to challenge myself into gratitude, to stop complaining and stressing every other time but instead be thankful for what I’ve achieved, where I’m in life, what God’s given me etc etc and let me tell you something Maina, once you jump on this bandwagon, there’s no looking back. I’ve greatly grown, I’m more content and I’m at ease.

Not to say that life stopped having its downs, oh no but once you’ve adapted gratitude’s concept, you remain steadfast in it even when dealing with the troubles.

May we aim to see a new day as a new chance.

Take time to nourish your soul and see yourself flourish. Love and light ❤️
